Every case that comes to the clinic is documented since 1989. Thus there exists a huge volume of data that an interested Ayurvedic student can look into for therapeutic details. Special cases like cerebral palsy where the center has done some research has been documented in detail. Rigorous research and documentation are undertaken at the ashram to record Physicians' clinical findings and keep a close look on patients' progress. Clinical meetings and peer interaction is a regular feature. A group of young like-minded people get together for serious clinical discussions on a frequent basis. Apart from medical students, other interested people from foreign countries are also getting trained (informally) in introductory courses of Ayurveda. 3 - 4 physicians both from India and abroad at a time are getting clinical training at the center for about 3 months.

"It is not our objective to establish a centre of exception. This has to be a model centre, which any Ayurvedic graduate can establish with near zero capital. We are giving lot of importance to the training of youngsters. It is very vital because we need to replicate this concept so as to create a generation of Vaidyas who will not be completely dependent on pharmaceutical industry. We need to have a decentralised health culture and that is the way Ayurveda could be best practiced. If the centre grows beyond a limit, the quality will suffer". Unlike other Ayurvedic centers, physicians directly perform the treatments here. |
